Cursive always makes me feel a little bit more fancy. Your wedding day is full of writing: the place cards, table numbers, favors, programs,...So why not jazz it up a bit? Calligraphy is all about the art in writing, rather than the writing in the art (There I go again, trying to sound profound!). Many people make their living off of making art with words! But it's not just the paper goods. Today, brides are putting calligraphy just about everywhere! That's a wrap lovelies!
-C. Don't get me wrong: I adore the traditional long dress. But a tea or waltz length gown truly speaks the 1950's, when a-line silhouettes were all the rage. It provides the bridal feel without the hassle of a long and heavy dress. Tea length gowns allow a bride to be extra comfortable on her big day and still look like a bride. That's a wrap lovelies!
-C. Weddings are so full of happiness that a few tears are normal. But what's really special is being able to capture the moment in that feeling. As the tear drops descend, the joy of the moment is remembered when a tear comes in view. That's a wrap lovelies!
-C. I don't think I'll ever get over the beauty of the Duchess of Cambridge's wedding dress. The royal wedding made me want to elope to London! Just imagine: tea in the garden on a lovely afternoon, wearing lace gloves and eating dainty pastries... A huge theme this year in weddings is the English Garden Party. Inspired by the dainty tablescapes and classy fashion of the time, garden weddings with English style have really made a grand entrance into the world of weddings. For the venue, think mansions. They have the indoor and outdoor options. When considering wedding dresses, think classy, airy, and vintage! Wedding details are revolving around three words: whimsical, peony, and dainty! Wedding bouquets are becoming less constructed. Mismatched china, tall candles, and shiny silver tea pots are keys to create the look. It's the English Effect, loves! That's a wrap lovelies!

The epitome of wedding dresses stands out from the rest with its volume and extravagant train. You're sure to be the belle of the ball in a ball gown! That's a wrap lovelies!
-C. Welcome to another Friday Fun-day! Besides being the day before the weekend, Fridays are also swinging around here because of our new Friday Fun-day series all about tablescapes! At the end of the series, we'll read the comments to see which tablescape deserves first prize in our little competition. So comment below on your faves (Don't forget, there are more posts coming, so hang in there before casting your comment!). Today, it's all about rustic. Outdoorsy people like myself know there's nothing like the great outdoors. This is why so many brides choose outdoor venues. Nature is truly lovely. After all, it was made by one of the greatest artists ever, The Creator. At the reception, one of the things the guests will be staring at--partly because it's right in front of them--are the tables. Rustic tablescapes like the ones below demonstrate natural beauty and ethereal bliss. Burlap is one of the easiest tools to make any table rustic. Add some lace and it's pure gorgeous. Lanterns also give off the rustic vibe. That's a wrap lovelies!
-C Ah, bridal portraits: a true reflection of a bride before marriage; capturing her personality through the lens. You probably may not have wanted pictures of your face any other day, but you just so happen to on this day (bridal jitters I suppose!). Photographers have branched out from the typical "standing bride" into shoots that focus on the artistic appeal of a photo, the personality of the bride, and the emotion instilled in the shot. Here are some tips for your portraits: Use a range of emotions and poses: it helps you become more photogenic. Be creative with props (in this case, both living and nonliving!): they help add aesthetic feel and loosen you up! Choose a picturesque location (trust me on this one!). But most of all, have fun! That's a wrap lovelies!
